Steve Weichman

Solugenix Corporate Controller Steve Weichman is responsible for the global controllership function where he oversees and implements appropriate financial controls in order to ensure compliance with accepted accounting processes and legal requirements. This includes operational accounting, AR/AP, financial reporting, financial data analysis, technical accounting and policy, financial systems, controls and compliance.

As a pivotal member of the operational management team, Steve is fully engaged with the business as a contributor to the overall success of the enterprise. He is known for his leadership and collaboration skills, which are instrumental in building, maintaining, and guiding a solid team of departmental accounting leads and support personnel. This enables the accounting department team leaders under his direction to innovate and problem solve in ways that ensure Solugenix maintains regulatory compliance while growing fiscally stronger.

Having originally joined Solugenix in a team lead role in the accounting department, he brings more than 12 years in senior accounting leadership roles in the insurance industry. Steve holds master’s degree in Accounting and Management from Walden University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.

Steve is a husband, father, and grandfather that enjoys outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking, road trips, and seeing the country with his family. This has included hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon twice.
